The study revealed that; Cultural diplomacy in Nigeria started as a as a course of actions, which are based on and utilize the exchange of ideas, values, traditions and other aspects of culture or identity centuries ago; The effect of cultural diplomacy on the Nigeria’s global culture is reflected through soft power, cultural festivals, Nollywood, music, sports and food; Cultural diplomacy has been used a s a tool to promote peaceful international relations in Nigeria; The challenges of cultural diplomacy in Nigeria includes unfair competition, transnational crimes like human trafficking, money laundering, drugs, terrorism and piracy which may dent the reputation of the country.
The study concluded that; the impact of cultural diplomacy has an impact on Nigeria’s global culture. The study further recommended that; Academicians and scholars should use the findings of this study as a basis for their literature and support of gaps in terms of concept, context, or even contradictory findings; The Nigerian government should use the findings of this study to come up with better ways to enhance better environment in the country by creating a favorable environment for the cultural diplomacy to be carried out in a stable environment in attempts to enhance development; Policymakers should use the findings of this study in coming up with better and robust policies to enhance the cultural diplomacy to enhance better global culture in the country; Researchers in cultural diplomacy and global culture could use this study as a basis for their literature.
